Natalie studied Hatha and Ashtanga vinyasa yoga near the Himalayas in India. It was along this journey that she acquired her yoga teacher training. In addition to yoga, she has been teaching a variety of fitness classes for the past three years and loves the supportive community these spaces create.
Natalie absolutely adores being close to the water, especially the ocean, as well as most anyplace outside. Leading yoga classes on the beach is a perfect pairing for her personal desire to be outdoors. She believes that you create your own reality and true happiness lives within us all.
After graduating from the University of Tampa in 2013 with a B.A in psychology and a minor in applied dance, Vanessa moved back home to NY for the summer and decided to try yoga at a local studio.
She faced anxiety and depression while growing up, and heard that yoga was helpful for both. Vanessa started taking a lot of restorative classes and for the first time in what felt like her entire life, she felt a sense of peace.
When moving back to Florida, she knew she wanted to try more yoga classes, and so she did! She tried everything from gentle yoga to hot power flow and all that was in between. A few months later she enrolled in a yoga teacher training program at The Lotus Pond and graduated in 2014. Vanessa began teaching as soon as she could and was excited to share her passion and love for yoga with her community. Vanessa's classes are focused on joining the breath with mindful movement, and allowing each student to meet themselves exactly where they are; with no judgement and an open heart.

Teresa began her Yoga journey in 2001 when she was first introduced to the Bikram practice. She slowly started to incorporate yoga into her practice both on and off the mat. Seeing the negative effects of stress on her own body she has found the strength connection and healing power where all intersects body, mind and spirit. Teresa’s commitment, devotion and love for yoga culminated in her 200 Yoga certification in 2013. She knew a few months after teaching yoga; it’s her life’s passion and calling. Sherry Duquet always felt too intimidated to walk into a Yoga studio and unroll a mat. She was curious and wanted to try, but felt afraid to do so. Sherry worried she wasn’t mindful or flexible enough to participate. She took classes right here with Madeira Beach Yoga and quickly learned that yoga is for everyone, including her.
She learned how welcoming Yoga can be, and the healing benefits it can provide. It felt astonishing. This would now be her professional focus. Sherry was initially trained at Balance Yoga Therapy and became further certified in Yin Yoga, Aqua Yoga and now Yoga for Trauma. Seeking to introduce yoga to all ages, she gained expertise in YogaFit Seniors. Then, on the other end of the age range, created and taught a Children's Yoga curriculum.
Sherry's classes are inviting and inclusive for both experienced Yogis and those who are Yoga curious. She is obsessed with raising the self esteem of men, women and children. And she does this through teaching yoga and her best selling children's book about loving yourself, Violet the Hugging Octopus.
