Madeira Beach Yoga offers three unique settings to indulge in your practice. Experience one, or explore them all, in the studio, on the patio or on the white sandy beach of Archibald Park.

Let us show you how fun and enjoyable yoga can be. Our instructors began to explore yoga for their own personal and varied reasons, which helped prepare them to make you feel even more welcome and successful in your practice. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced yogi, we will help you find your place on the mat.

Andrea attended her first yoga class more than 10 years ago and was in awe with the wonderful benefits  received from the practice: not only physical strength, flexibility and stamina, but also a calm and clear mind and so much joy!  She dove head first into a 200 hour Teacher Training (at One Yoga Planet in Ft. Pierce, FL under the guidance of Margarida Tree). It was more for personal curiosity and deeper understanding. Two years later and after consistent practice, she knew that this was her true path and  wanted to forward the gift that was given to her through Yoga.

In 2012,  Andrea completed a 2nd 200 hour Teacher Training (this time at Infinite Yoga in San Diego, CA under the guidance of Dana Rae Pare.  Both trainings were under the Ashtanga Method (the Eight Limbs), which goes beyond the physical practice; including ethics, breathing techniques (Pranayama) and Meditation. In 2015 she also completed a Restorative Yoga Teacher Training under the guidance of Judith Hanson Lasater.

Andrea enjoys teaching a healthy mix of Gentle, Power, Flow and Restorative in her classes. Students will be guided through mindful sequences focusing on breath and detailed alignment. You will feel safe, challenged at your own pace and pampered all at the same time, leaving with a sense of bliss!

Her favorite things (besides yoga): gatherings with family and friends (good food and wine is a must), traveling around the world, music, chocolate, the full moon, dancing, and having her toes in the sand and the sun on her skin.

Leanne began practicing Yoga in 2006 when she joined a beginner's class held at a hospital-based wellness program.  She immediately felt the amazing healing effects of Yoga, and soon developed her own daily practice.  Because of the positive changes Yoga brought into her life, she felt the need to share the practice with others. 

In 2008, Leanne completed her 200hr Yoga certification at Baba Siri Chand Yoga Center in Massachusetts.  Since then she has taught in a variety of settings, and enjoys making Yoga accessible for people of all body types and fitness levels.  In addition to Yoga, Leanne enjoys meditation, spending time in nature, biking, and reading at the beach.

Crystal started her journey with a power/hot yoga background and decided to go deeper into the philosophy and psychology of yoga.  She received her 200 hour certification from Lotus Pond Yoga in Tampa, learning alignment and the intricacies of the breath with the postures.

Currently, she is completing the Masters of Health and Wellness Coaching program, and integrating the many dimensions of wellbeing into her coaching and yoga practice. Crystal's passion is bringing mindful movement, thought and nourishment to our lives in order to achieve a balance and harmony.  She comes with a beginner's mind, as an everlasting student, always learning something from everyone she meets!

Lauri Green received her 200 RYT yoga training at St. Petersburg Yoga, in St. Petersburg, FL. Lauri also teaches Zumba (latin dance fitness). She has three wonderful daughters and works with her husband in their Guatemalan importing business, which they started over 20 years ago.

Lauri has always loved dance and exercise and came to yoga with injuries from physical overuse. Through her training she learned the fundamentals of yoga;  stillness, breath, observation of the body and mind, balancing actions, and honoring your edge. Lauri looks forward to sharing with you what her teachers have taught her, finding balance in your yoga practice and taking what you learn on the mat, out into other aspects of your life.

Dina Villalba-Sanchez

Having earned her 200hr RYT, Dina brings both expert skills and a passion for teaching to her classes.  She loves yoga and enjoys other fascinating hobbies including travel, cooking, reading, hiking, running, and going to the beach! You will often see Dina teaching beach yoga classes, where she marries these two joys. She loves to teach vinyasa flow, yin yoga, slow power flow, hot yoga, and meditations.

Dina is always trying to learn more and deepen her own practice as well as her teaching expertise. She loves petting dogs and drinking coffee at farmers markets!

Teresa began her Yoga journey in 2001 when she was first introduced to the Bikram practice. She slowly started to incorporate yoga into her practice both on and off the mat. Seeing the negative effects of stress on her own body she has found the strength connection and healing power where all intersects body, mind and spirit. Teresa’s commitment, devotion and love for yoga culminated in her 200 Yoga certification in 2013. She knew a few months after teaching yoga; it’s her life’s passion and calling. This is where her next chapter began with co-founding Madeira Beach Yoga. She also volunteers her yoga practice to help injured Veterans with The Exhalted Warriors Foundation at Yogani Studio in Tampa, Florida.

Like many, Sherry always felt too intimidated to walk into a Yoga studio and unroll a mat. She was curious and wanted to try, but felt too afraid to do so. She worried she wasn’t mindful enough or flexible enough to participate. She began to take classes right here with Madeira Beach Yoga and quickly learned that those notions were not at all true. Astonished by how welcoming Yoga can be and the extraordinary benefits it can provide, she knew that sharing Yoga and its unlimited potential for happiness and growth would now be her professional focus. Sherry completed her 200 hour certification at Balance Yoga Therapy and additional training through YogaFit Seniors. Most recently, she developed a Children's Yoga curriculum and spent time volunteer teaching at a local domestic violence shelter. Sherry creates inviting and inclusive classes for both experienced Yogis and those who are Yoga curious. She is passionate about sharing the healing benefits of Yoga with anyone who will listen and strives to provide the kind of classes that make everyone feel welcome.

Angela Moscaritolo

Angela Moscaritolo is a Yoga teacher and writer who completed her 200-hour training in New York City under the guidance of Anne-Margaret Redding-Wood at The Giving Tree Yoga Studio. She teaches a dynamic Vinyasa Flow-style class with creative sequencing that integrates meditation, breathing techniques, and a variety of poses to strengthen and lengthen the entire body and achieve a more peaceful mind. With a focus on alignment, she breaks down poses, teaching students of all levels how to build the asana step-by-step. She believes that that the transitions between poses are just as important (and fun!) as the poses themselves.
