Join us for an hour of all levels yoga on the Patio as we collect new bras and underwear for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic Women’s Residence. Bring a Bra, Free Community Yoga is free to attend, with donations requested for this cause.
The Virginia and David Baldwin Women’s Residence provides a safe place to stay as well as support and educational services to single homeless women as they work toward their goal of self-sufficiency. Their facility includes 40 bedrooms, allowing 50 women at a time to live in the residence.
A huge success rate: 90 percent of the graduates are living independently in stable conditions one year after graduation.
Some of the most needed items are “unmentionables”. They always need new bras and underwear. Let’s help fill their closets, lift each other up and share what we can.
The next time you’re at Target….pick up a pack of undies or a bra and join us. Don’t have time to shop? We will gladly accept your cash donation on behalf of the program.
Please bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water for class. There will be a few mats on hand to borrow if you need one.
