I am always looking for new ways to naturally maintain good health. As a yoga teacher I come in contact with lots and lots of people every week. Therefore, it is important to keep my immune system super strong. We all need a rock star immune system so we can continue to do all the things we love most.
I was recently introduced to On Guard essential oil by Christine, our friend and doTERRA expert. On Guard essential oil is a blend of Wild Orange Peel, Clove Bud, Cinnamon Bark/Leaf, Eucalyptus Leaf, and Rosemary Leaf/Flower essential oils. Its flavor and aroma is both comforting and warm. This mega-mix of oils are known for their antiviral, anti- inflammatory, immune boosting powers. When we first met Christine she told me that because I am in contact with so many people all the time (as most of us are) that I could benefit from adding On Guard essential oil to my world. I gave it a try and have loved it ever since. I think of it like an Emergen-C immune boosting fizzy drink that I can wear or consume all day long.
Now I use On Guard in my diffuser and I put it in my hot tea. I eat OnGuard Beadlets (my new obsession) when I am out and about and put On Guard on my feet when I begin to feel a little low. The pores on your feet are the largest so the oil gets right to work.
At our last essential oil class Christine blew our minds when she told us about On Guard apples. I was definitely intrigued so we gave it a try. Yum!!!! This takes the old adage….An apple a day keeps the doctor away….and turns it up a notch or two. An added bonus, soaking the apples in On Guard slowed the oxidation, browning process considerably, which makes them even more lunch box worthy. We loved them and thought you might too.
